What is The Nigerian Food Awards™?

The Nigerian Food Awards™ (TNFA) is Nigeria’s official national food recognition platform. It celebrates excellence across restaurants, chefs, street food, FMCG brands, beverages, innovation, and culinary creativity using a transparent hybrid judging system powered by AI.

How does the AI scoring system work?

The TNFA AI Score™ analyzes: • Ratings & reviews • Customer sentiment analysis • Menu quality & consistency • Packaging & branding • Hygiene signals • Online presence & customer experience • Food photography accuracy This creates an unbiased 20% score added to public votes and judges’ scores.

Who can nominate?

Anyone may nominate — customers, fans, restaurants, chefs, FMCG brands, and industry stakeholders. Nominations are free and open nationwide.

Is voting free?

Yes. Public voting is free for every category. Each vote is secured using OTP + Device ID verification to ensure fairness and eliminate duplicate votes.

How are winners selected?

Winners are selected using TNFA’s transparent hybrid system: • 40% Public Votes • 40% Judges Panel • 20% TNFA AI Score™ This ensures fairness, credibility, and national standards.

How many categories exist?

There are 98 award categories covering restaurants, chefs, street food, fast food, beverages, FMCG brands, innovation, packaging, marketing, and special recognition awards.

How can my business participate?

Simply nominate yourself or accept nominations submitted by customers. You can also join as a sponsor, partner, exhibitor, or culinary showcase participant for award night.

How do I become a sponsor?

You can request our official TNFA Sponsorship Deck and choose from Gold, Platinum, Diamond or Headline Sponsorship packages. Sponsors receive massive nationwide visibility, branding, PR and on-stage recognition.

Where will the award ceremony hold?

The award ceremony will take place at a premium venue in Lagos or Abuja, such as Landmark Centre, Radisson Blu, Transcorp Hilton, or Abuja Continental. Final venue will be announced on our official website & social channels.
